OSMI Initiators

Accueil » About » OSMI Initiators

The OSMI Initiators are the founding members of the initiative: Charité Universitaetsmedizin Berlin, the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Inria, PLOS, SPARC Europe, UNESCO, and the Université de Lorraine.

The OSMI Initiators group is a temporary governance structure. They are volunteers who are contributing their time and expertise to help kick-start efforts for OSMI before a full governance structure is established, which will represent various stakeholders and regions of the world. It is a temporary structure until a Board has been appointed.

The OSMI Initiators:

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback on near-term OSMI goals and priorities
  • Resolve issues and manage risks
  • Approve the initiation of working groups
  • Manage the consultation on the Principles of Open Science Monitoring
  • Keep up to date with the work of the OSMI Coordination Committee
