Launch of the OSMI coordination committee

Accueil » Launch of the OSMI coordination committee

The 12th of June 2024, the coordination committee of the Open Science Monitoring Initiative (OSMI) held its first meeting. Composed of Laetitia Bracco (head of the research data and bibliometrics support services, Université de Lorraine), Andrea Davidson (Open Science and Open Education Communications and Engagement Leader, SPARC Europe) and Vanessa Proudman (Director, SPARC Europe), its objective is to provide the necessary help to efficiently run OSMI and to make sure that policy turns into action.

During this first meeting, we kick-started our efforts considering how best to explore governance structures with the core group of OSMI initiators, including how to operationalise the Principles via working groups. The initiators will meet in September to discuss OSMI governance in depth before the work starts in earnest, and we look forward to sharing our proposals.

We wish you a great summer in the meantime,
The coordination committee
