The first draft of the Principles was presented during a meeting of the Unesco Open Science Monitoring Working Group, the 17th of April 2024. Along with the official launch of the OSMI website, this was the starting point of a worldwide consultation led by Unesco on the current draft.
The purpose of this consultation is to gather as much inputs from various countries as possible, in order to reach a consensus over agreed-upon Principles of Open Science Monitoring.
