“This text, revised following an international workshop held in December 2023 at UNESCO, was subsequently put out for global consultation prior to the publication of the final text of the Principles of Open Science Monitoring in July 2025. This marks the first step in the OSMI (Open Science Monitoring Initiative), a global initiative aimed at promoting the adoption of these principles. Coordinated by the UL, SPARC Europe and UNESCO, and funded by the MESRE, OSMI now brings together nearly 200 members from around the world.”
